Like all genera, Hebes have their weaknesses, here we share our extensive experience of growing large numbers of Hebes for many years.
There are a few golden rules to follow:
· Avoid overstocking Hebes.
· Allow plenty of space between plants on beds.
· Avoid damp, dark areas of sales area.
· Use a PREVENTATIVE spray programme.
· Choose varieties selected for disease resistance, we can advise.
· Avoid soft, large leaved stock from Dutch lorries.
· Water in the morning, not last thing, and from below if possible.
· Overwatering or drying out will reduce disease resistance.
